Dr. Ralph Dixon welcomes patients at Fairbanks Foot and Ankle, where he provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for the full range of foot and ankle conditions. Whether he’s treating a common ingrown toenail, performing complex surgery to repair a fracture, or managing chronic foot problems caused by diabetes and vascular disease, his patients in Fairbanks, Alaska depend on his extensive experience.

Dr. Dixon was raised in the small mountain town of Payson, Utah, where his family has lived for five generations. While completing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, he dedicated two years to serve as a representative for his church in Sweden.

After finishing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Dixon went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He received a commission as a podiatrist in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, where he directed the podiatry section at Bassett Army Community Hospital.

Following military training, Dr. Dixon was stationed at Fort Ord, California. During his time there, he supervised the podiatry department and served as director of the podiatric surgical residency training program at Silas B. Hayes Army Hospital.

Dr. Dixon went into private practice in Fairbanks in 1992, where he still strives to provide the highest quality foot and ankle care to each patient.

Dr. Dixon and his wife, Janet, have seven children and eleven grandchildren. Along with their West Highland White Terrier, Jezzie, and Maltese, Tika, they have made their home in Fairbanks. They enjoy family time, travel, and being outdoors.
