Dr. Benjamin Carelock is a highly dedicated, board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with extensive expertise in reconstructive procedures and diabetic limb salvage. Originally from Dripping Springs, Texas, he has always been passionate about exploring the outdoors, with a particular love for mountain environments.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
Dr. Carelock then completed a rigorous three-year residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, specializing in all aspects of foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, with a keen focus on diabetic limb preservation. During his residency, he was honored with the Gary Jolly Award for Academic Excellence.
With over a decade of clinical experience in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah, Dr. Carelock approaches patient care with a holistic philosophy—believing that 99% of health resides above the ankle. He emphasizes personalized treatment plans that respect the whole person, ensuring optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes.
